Copenhagen is the capital city of Denmark and offers tourists an attractive place to visit that is steeped in culture and history. Little Mermaid

The Little Mermaid statue is a popular landmark that is renowned world-wide and is one of Copenhagen's top tourist sites. The Little Mermaid is a famous sculpture of a mermaid sitting on a rock looking out to sea and this is the subject of a famous 1837 story by Hans C. Andersen. This story was later adapted into a Disney film. The Little Mermaid sculpture is easily accessible by foot, bike or bus and guided tours are available at this location. This attraction may also be viewed or visited on a canal tour.

Copenhagen Zoo

The Copenhagen Zoo was established in 1859 and is today one of Europe's oldest zoological gardens. The zoo hosts a large variety of animals and this is an attractive venue for visitors of all ages. Copenhagen Zoo presents a combination of preserved older structures and newer buildings. Since 1905, the zoo hosts a tower that offers a splendid view of the city of Copenhagen. The zoo boasts a new elephant house and concerns itself with space programs renovation and the creation of natural habitat for the animals. The Copenhagen Zoo is open all year round and has different closing times at different times of the year.
