The Sixth Floor Museum is a tribute to John F. Kennedy. The museum is named such as it can be found on the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository building – the same spot that the sniper's rifle was found after the fatal shooting of President John F. Kennedy in 1963. The museum aims to give visitors a feel of the cultural climate in the 1960 and the events surrounding JFK's life, assassination and death.
