For 28 years Latvian-born Miami resident Edward Leedskalnin built this monument to his fiancée who jilted him a day before their wedding. It is a stone structure made primarily from limestone and formed from coral. Coral Castle is also known as Rock Gate, but is called Coral Castle as Leedskalnin fashioned walls, a castle tower, furniture and carvings out of the mammoth stones. The furniture includes a heart-shaped table, a bathtub, rocking chairs and a royal throne. These megalithic stones each weigh several tons and are quite a sight to see.
